Dr. Rachel Hagenow

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Rachel Hagenow grew up in a small town in southern Wisconsin and obtained both her undergraduate degree in pharmacology-toxicology and her DVM from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following veterinary school, she completed an emergency/critical care internship at WVRC, a level 1 24-hour emergency/critical care and specialty veterinary hospital, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. After she completed her internship, she worked for several years at a primary care practice in a suburb near Madison, Wisconsin. She then moved to the Boston area and worked there for two years before returning to her favorite city – Madison.

Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and internal medicine. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their pets – Olive (dog) and Milo (cat). She also enjoys working out, reading, snowboarding, and baking.
